for st brigids

the time has come the walrus said
to talk of many things
of shoes, of ships, of sealing wax
of cabbages, and kings
of why the sea is boiling hot
and whether pigs have wings!

i had to memorize this poem in the 5th (?) grade and this is the only part i can still remember. i think it is pretty wonderful.
