this story from the NY times explains more about the dusty baker situation than any other i've read. i mean it's one thing if he decides it's time to retire, but should he decide not to reitre, peter magowan suffers from cranial rectal inversion (to put it nicely) if he doesn't hire dusty back. (i think that sentence might have a few things wrong with it tense-wise, but i've spent too much time trying to re-word it so there you go. live with it)
